In the summer of 2026, the artist Daniel Buren (born in 1938) is granted carte blanche. This contemporary French artist is renowned far beyond national borders. Known for his vertical white and colored stripes, his in situ work questions the place, framing, and context of art. As a major figure in conceptual art, he has left his mark on public spaces and museums around the world, playing with perception, architecture, and light.
