Jan / Feb tour dates update: some good and some not so good news.
Good news first - we are able to play our rescheduled Vicar Street show in Dublin on Feb 1st. All tickets to the original show are valid - see you there!
Sadly, however, our mainland EU shows in the first week of February are not able to go ahead. Most of them were not allowed due to restrictions and it is financially impossible to do the couple that we allowed on their own.
We are rescheduling Paris and Brussels - hold on to your tickets and stay tuned for announcements of new dates - but sadly we have to cancel our shows in Luxembourg, Lausanne, Salzburg, Bratislava and Warsaw. Tickets for those shows will be refunded. We're very sad to not be able to make those shows happen and hope we can see you soon.
Our UK and US shows in Jan and Feb are all going ahead. We are awaiting news about the Vancouver shows - stay tuned. We are expecting all of our EU shows in March to go ahead as planned. x dan

Dan Snaith aka Caribou revient en 2019 avec un nouveau morceau « Home », le premier depuis la sortie de son dernier album Our Love en 2014.
« Swim » , son cinquième album sorti en 2010, reste une des très grandes claques de cette période pour son caractère inclassable : entre tubes deep-house, perle electronica et sensibilité pop bien affirmée, Snaith digressait avec bonheur bien loin de sa pop psychédélique d'origine. Le psychédélisme électronique entrevu dans certains titres de Swim refait surface et inonde quasi totalement l'œuvre de Our Love quelques années plus tard. Ce dernier album sonne résolument moderne, notamment en imbriquant des beats Hip-hop/R'n'b et sera à son tour un succès. Caribou annonce aujourd'hui une tournée en 2020 à travers l'Europe et sera le 27 avril à l'Olympia à Paris.
Caribou en parlant du morceau « Home » :"I'm always listening to lots of music and sometimes a loop just jumps out at me - it's too perfect. That's how it was with Gloria Barnes' 'Home' - I kept returning to it, meaning to do something with it but not knowing what. Sometimes making music feels like a process I'm in charge of ... but there other times, when things just present themselves and my job is to follow their lead. It wasn't until the circumstances of someone close to me mirrored the refrain of the original song that the track all came together. »

+ 1ère partie :yunè pinku's music taps into many facets of being a young person in the early 2020s. “I try to grasp the weird in between feelings that everyone has but no one describes, like where you feel like you should be happy but you're not, or, if you're at a party, and sort of tune out.” Her music bottles this disembodied feeling of detachment. Half-Malaysian and half-Irish, the South East London-based newcomer layers wistful, syrupy vocals over production that draws from the UK rave canon but with a restless, textural slant. It's music for pre-drinking while applying eyeliner; the messy afters; the 8am Uber journey home.
Having recently dropped her mesmeric first singles 'Laylo' and 'Affection', yunè pinku is now on the cusp of releasing her debut solo EP. “The project overall is about sort of anxiously attending things and the constant sense of trying to be tougher.” 'Bluff' employs scuttly garage drums with golden era UKG bass stabs, while 'Affection' takes on a dubby bassline reminiscent of experimental early 00s post-dubstep, with her voice like a synth cutting into the production. Prior to this, yunè collaborated with rising Australian dance star Logic1000 on 'What You Like'. She has also been co-signed by Joy Orbison, who invited her to contribute a guest mix on his Radio 1 residency. “I was so happy they took a chance on me, especially considering I didn't have anything out. »
